Clapham’s very own book festival was inaugurated in 2016. This year’s festival (part of the Whispers from the Walls season at Omnibus Theatre, a programme of work celebrating storytelling, theatre and the power of words from 9 May-24 June), has expanded to include something for everyone from internationally known authors to crime, non-fiction, poetry and even advice on how to get your own work published, all at Omnibus Theatre, as well as a session for children at the Clapham Library. After sessions with Margaret Drabble and Deborah Moggach, there is a meet-and-greet session with local authors in the Omnibus Theatre bar from 8pm to end the day, amongst the exhibition Memories of Fiction.
