A day-long programme with something for everyone, from crime and thrillers, historical novels and history books, to spy fiction. Meet your local authors in the Bar of Omnibus from 18:30 and finish the day with national and international award-winning broadcaster Kate Adie.

14:00-15:00 Death in the Afternoon brings together top crime and thriller writers Sabine Durrant, J P Delaney and Annemarie Neary – facilitated by Natasha Cooper, crime writer and former chair of the Crime Writers’ Association

15:30-16:30 The Past is Another Country sees local author Julie Anderson chairing 3 historical writers: local author and documentary maker Simon Berthon, Tudor novelist Elizabeth Fremantle and Robin Blake, author of the Cragg & Fidelis series

17:00-18:00 Spies under the Bed opens up the deadly business of espionage with local author Elizabeth Buchan, Andrew Lownie (prize-winning biographer of Guy Burgess), and WWII specialists Rick Stroud and Jane Thynne

At 18:30-19:30, we have an informal Meet & Greet session with local authors in the Omnibus bar

19:30-20:30 offers a rare chance to hear BBC journalist Kate Adie talking about her life and work as a war correspondent, broadcaster and writer
