Zachary and Thomas Macaulay

Zachary Macaulay (1768 –1838) was a statistician, one of the founders of London University, an antislavery activist and governor of Sierra Leone, the British colony for freed slaves. His son Thomas Babington Macaulay, (1800 – 1859) was a British historian and Whig politician and held political office in the UK. His books on British history have been hailed as literary masterpieces.
