Part-time bookseller with bags of creativity, confidence and enthusiasm, and with a passion for books and children’s literacy!
Our ideal team member will be a flexible and organised self-starter, able to work well alone but also as part of a small team, and keen to help the shop owner grow this new business.

Working as part of a small team, you’ll be able to harness your creativity to imagine and create new window displays, organise and run bookish events and be a bookseller extraordinaire!
You will unpack and sort deliveries, help with publisher returns and keep the shop clean and tidy. You’ll provide excellent, friendly customer service and a warm welcome to our shoppers.

You’ll be able to operate the till in an efficient and accurate manner, taking both cash and credit card payments.
You’ll be confident to organise, assist at and lead storytimes and readalouds, engaging and inspiring our young readers.

The role is part-time, initially two days a week, to include some weekends, and is mostly based at our shop in Clapham Old Town.
You’ll also be expected to organise/assist at or run book events at other local venues.
