2018 Business Rates Fund – APPLY NOW
Lambeth Council have launched a second round of their business rates hardship fund for businesses who experienced an increase in their business rates following the 2017 revaluation. This is a second round of funding for 2018 and businesses in Clapham are encouraged to apply. A large amount of funding remains unspent and the application form is quick and easy to complete.
If you applied for the fund in 2017, the additional relief should have been automatically applied in 2018. However, you should check your business rates bill for further information.
If your rateable value increased in 2017, but remains below £12,000, you are eligible for small business rate relief and you won’t pay business rates. You should check that small business rate relief has been applied to your account and if not, contact Lambeth Council.
The small business rate relief will be available to you if you have a property with a rateable value between £12,001 and £15,000. The rate of relief will go down gradually from 100 per cent to zero per cent. Check you business rates bill and contact Lambeth Council for more information – 020 8315 2255 or email email@example.com.
A number of Clapham BID members applied in 2017 and 2018 and were successful in receiving substantial business rate rebates from Lambeth Council . However, the fund is only available until March 2019 and it’s advised that businesses apply as soon as possible, while the fund is still available.
This is Clapham BID Manager Jeremy Keates states – “I cannot stress to our members enough the benefits of applying for this fund. Whilst many will be experiencing significant rate rises, this does provide some financial relief. If you need any advice or support in completing the form, please contact the This is Clapham BID.”
