The Old Post Office Bakery in Clapham has been grown for over 30 years from the labour, love and loyalty of its workers, and associated supporters. A community centred bakery that produces and sells handcrafted baked goods using staple ingredients with no artificial additives.

All of their products are baked and sold on site. Although in many ways it would make more sense for them to set up an offsite bakery in an industrial unit they believe that part of the unique flavour of the bakery is the fact that the baking is done in-house. Customers are able to see the bakers at work and to smell the fresh bread as it is baked off during the day.

The bakery itself is an Aladdin’s cave with every nook and cranny crammed full of baking equipment and ingredients. It is also a hive of activity as they rush back and forth in a crazy choreography of production. Come and have a look and a smell and most importantly a taste.
