Margot Robbie’s Clapham

A Star-Studded Stroll Through SW4

Before Hollywood, red carpets and blockbuster premieres, Margot Robbie was calling Clapham home – and we have to say, she’s always had excellent taste.

Speaking recently on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie Ware and Clapham resident Lennie Ware, Margot shared fond memories of her early twenties spent living right here in SW4. Long before she was Barbie, Harley Quinn or an Oscar nominee, she was navigating Clapham life like the rest of us – nights out, local dinners and the occasional run-in with club security…

So if you fancy seeing the area through Margot’s eyes, here’s your unofficial “Margot Robbie Tour of Clapham.

Clapham Manor Street – Where It All Began

Margot revealed she lived on Clapham Manor Street during her time in London – right in the heart of the action.

It’s a classic Clapham base: walking distance to the High Street, the Common, nightlife and plenty of food spots. Safe to say she picked her location well – equal parts lively and community-led.

The Stonhouse – Local Dining Done Right

A firm favourite during her Clapham days, The Stonhouse (aka Stonny’s) was one of Margot’s go-to neighbourhood spots.

Known for its relaxed atmosphere and crowd-pleasing menu, it’s easy to see why it became part of her local routine – perfect for casual dinners and catch-ups with friends.

Café Sol – A Clapham Classic

No Clapham nightlife roundup would be complete without Café Sol — and Margot agrees.

A long-standing staple for cocktails, Mexican bites and late-night energy, it’s been a favourite for locals, young professionals and, apparently, future Hollywood A-listers too.

Clapham Tap (formerly Craft Beer) – Pints & Pub Games

Margot also mentioned spending time at Craft Beer during her Clapham days – the venue now known as Clapham Tap.

A laid-back local favourite for great beer and easygoing pub nights, it clearly made an impression. Owner Tristan has shared that he remembers seeing Margot in the pub, where she’d pop in and play darts.

Infernos – The One She Got Kicked Out Of…

Possibly the most iconic story to come out of the podcast: Margot Robbie was famously kicked out of Infernos.

Proof that even megastars aren’t immune to a classic Clapham night out getting a little too lively.

Infernos has long been a rite of passage in SW4 – chaotic dancefloors, throwback anthems and unforgettable nights. Margot’s story just cements its legendary status further.

Mosquito Bar – Cocktails & Clapham Nights

Margot also name-checked Mosquito Bar as part of her local circuit.

A popular Clapham High Street hangout known for its party atmosphere and late-night cocktails – another reminder that her Clapham years were spent fully embracing the area’s social scene.

Clapham Leisure Centre

It wasn’t all parties and margaritas though.

Margot shared that Clapham Leisure Centre was part of her routine too – a relatable reminder that even future film stars had gym sessions and everyday errands built into their London life.

Honky Tonk – Now Little Orange Door

Margot also referenced nights out at Honky Tonk as part of her Clapham social circuit – the Nashville-inspired bar that once brought country music and high-energy dancefloors to the High Street.

Today, the site is home to Little Orange Door – a house-party style bar and restaurant that’s kept the same fun, sociable spirit alive in the space.

From Clapham to Hollywood

Hearing Margot talk so fondly about her time in Clapham is a reminder of just how formative those early London years were.

Like so many who move here in their twenties, Clapham offered:

  • Community
  • Nightlife
  • Great food spots
  • Fitness and wellbeing
  • Lifelong memories

Only difference? Most of us don’t go on to become global superstars afterwards.

Margot may be living the Hollywood life now, but her Clapham chapter clearly left a mark and we’re claiming her as honorary SW4 royalty forever.
