“My disease, it’s like a drug. You feel it deep down, and once you’re hooked it never leaves you. But I want everything I touch… to turn to gold.”

Kira was the perfect teenager. Kira wanted to go to Oxford. But her eating disorder shattered everything in her path. In this brand new production of Nicole Zweiback’s poignant, raw and honest play, a young woman tries to comprehend and overcome anorexia nervosa and bulimia, and the lifelong struggle of addiction. A harrowing story about coming of age in a messy world obsessed with perfection.

The 2016 winner of Best Play at the Stockwell Playhouse One Act Festival, Bit of Sunshine shines a light on a desperate search for hope, even in the darkest of places.
