Take Care of My Cat (2001) is a ‘likeable, bittersweet comedy of manners’ from writer-director Jae-eun Jeong. It follows a group of young women (high-school contemporaries) in South Korea as they try to maintain the intimacy of their teenage friendship. IMD website says “Take Care of My Cat” succeeds through beautifully fluid and feline cinematography and lived-in performances by the five superb young actresses. It is an excellent example of Korean cinema just prior to the global success of the film “Parasite”.
