The Vagina Monologues at Bread and Roses

7:00 pm - 12:00 am
Sunday, February 7, 2016 - Monday, February 15, 2016

For the third year in a row Goblin Baby Theatre Co. present a V-Day benefit production of the award-winning play The Vagina Monologues.

Hailed by The New York Times as “funny” and “poignant” and by the Daily News as “intelligent” and “courageous”, The Vagina Monologues dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences. The play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler’s interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For two decades, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public.

The performance on February 7th will be followed by a Q&A with some of the creative team and a panel discussion with campaigners and activists on What is One Billion Rising (OBR) and why do we need it? Tickets for the follow-up event are free, but need to be reserved separately.
