An exhibition of oil paintings by Abby Cocovini

At a time when society is becoming increasingly tribal, the equality found on a tube carriage on London Underground offers momentary relief. In Underground Society, Abby’s paintings celebrate a place where only the elderly, disabled and pregnant hold higher status.

The paintings are grouped into polyptychs of two, four and five canvases, echoing the carriages of a train. Each is 12×16” / 30x40cm and available to buy individually or grouped.

The private view, sponsored by Brixton Brewery, is 6.30-9pm on 29th November in the bar at Clapham Picturehouse, 76 Venn Street, London SW4 0AT, with the exhibition continuing 12-9pm daily, 30th November to 20th December.
