Financial Support in Lockdown

new national restrictions

Financial Support for businesses required to close as part of national restrictions from 5 November 2020 – Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed).

On 31 October the Government announced that businesses in certain non-essential retail, hospitality and leisure sectors were ordered to close for a 28 day national lockdown period from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December 2020.

As part of this a further financial support scheme was announced. Support for Lambeth businesses legally required to close during the period of national lockdown will be provided through the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) scheme.

Eligible businesses that are required to close include non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure and personal care services. A full list of businesses required to close is available on the Gov UK website.

The level of support available for the 28 day period of closure will be based on the rateable value of the premises:

  • Qualifying businesses with a rateable value of up to and including £15,000 will receive a payment of £1,334.
  • Qualifying businesses with a rateable value of between £15,001 and £50,999 will receive a payment of £2,000.
  • Qualifying businesses with a rateable value of £51,000 and over will receive a payment of £3,000.

If your business qualifies for a grant under the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) scheme you will need to complete this short form:
