This is Clapham hosted the second business networking event alongside award winning cookery school Cactus Kitchens. Attendees were treated to an evening of high quality food and drink and a chance to meet other businesses in the area. It was a great opportunity to see behind the scenes on the set of Saturday Kitchen and look around the Cactus Kitchens building, which is in an old chapel off Clapham High Street. We were also given a taster session of one of their exclusive cooking classes where we all shown how to make a spectacular prawn risotto!

We are joined by our local MP for Vauxhall Kate Hoey who will ran a question and answer session who answered a series of questions relating to issues and concerns for businesses in Clapham and a few on Brexit!

Local chartered surveyor Rod Pearson from Evans Pearson also discussed some of the issues surrounding the huge increases in London’s revaluation business rates and answered some questions raised and was on hand to offer services for the process of appeal.

We then finished with Rishi Sood from Meerkat Associates talking about the launch of a new joint procurement service in partnership with This is Clapham. Explaining the ways, they can reduce your business costs through the power of collective purchasing.

Jonas from The Chef Foundation said:

“I thought last night was a very positive networking opportunity and it was good to meet you and some of the other business people in Clapham. I also thought that Cactus Kitchens did an excellent job hosting”.
