The Queen praises MATRIX….

At an exclusive event on Thursday 14 July, Matrix was awarded with a crystal chalice and scroll to mark its achievement in the Sustainable Development category for The Queen’s Award in Enterprise.
The accolade, the UK’s most prestigious marker of business excellence, was presented to Matrix’s CEO and founder Charlie Bradshaw by Lambeth’s Representative Deputy Lieutenant, Ms Rosi Prescott. Matrix was one of only a few UK companies that have been bestowed the honour in the Sustainable Development category.
The physical presentation of the chalice was combined with a face-to-face meeting with Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace. Winners of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2016 – which recognises excellence in international trade, innovation and sustainable development – were invited to join the Queen at the celebration the same evening.
Charlie Bradshaw said: “We are immensely proud to have won The Queen’s Award in Enterprise for Sustainable Development. With the help of everyone at Matrix, many thousands of workers’ lives have been positively affected meaning they lead a far better quality of life than they did a few years ago.
“I’m thankful to the core members of the team for their hard work and commitment to the commercial goals we’re trying to achieve as well as surpassing our social and ethical expectations.
“However, we are only at the beginning of our journey and will strive for continuous improvement.
“I’m also thrilled to meet the Queen!”
Ms Rosi Prescott said: “The Queen’s Award in Enterprise for Sustainable Development is a very rare award indeed. This year, only three alone have been awarded throughout Greater London. We received hundreds and hundreds of applications for these so Matrix should be very proud of winning one. The reason it has been awarded is because the business stands head and shoulders above the rest. Matrix’s beyond auditing approach and commitment to wiping out child labour are two things that really stood out to me, as well as its overall resolve to making businesses sustainable.”
