Clapham Warden Patrol

This is Clapham employs a team of wardens to provide a visibility patrol service on Clapham High Street  and surrounding areas, helping to manage a busy night time economy that attracts thousands of visitors to the area at weekends.

The role of the wardens is to provide a visible patrol and reassurance service to local businesses and customers. They will often be a first response service responding to calls for assistance from local businesses and people on the street.

The wardens patrol with the Clapham Town link radio, which connects them with local businesses and other stakeholders.

The Clapham Wardens patrol the High Street and surrounding areas on Friday and Saturday nights between 9pm and 5am and work alongside the Hub Safe Haven and its team of medics.

The Clapham Hub is a ‘safe space’ located at the Clapham Methodist Church located opposite McDonalds on Clapham High Street. A ‘safe space,’ is a term increasingly used for partnership schemes that operate to make the night-time economy safer and ensure that vulnerable individuals are helped to get home safely.

The Clapham Hub is managed and funded by a partnership between the This is Clapham BID and Churches Together in Clapham
